Today I picked up four boxes from a first time bank. None of the boxes had a date or CWI number. One box held 6, another 4, one skunk and one really good.....thanks silver gods for that one.....ha! They ordered another $2000 for me so we will see what those bring next week. I think/hope these boxes came from another area because there was alot of marked coins......I mean alot!! I have never seen these marks in my area before.

I also checked a couple of boxes of dimes and found a Merc plus 6 Rosie's.....I really like these dimes. These were Fed boxes and not my usual dime bank. I am going to get more tomorrow if possible.

I also picked a really bad shape 78 proof......ahhhhhhh!

The totals.....

5-64's
4-65's
1-66
14-67's
20-68's
3-69's
1-Franklin 57-D
1-Merc 44-S
6 Rosie's: 54-D, 57-D, 61-D, 63, 63-D & 64

Sounds like your new routine is working out so far- hope it continues. HH Mark

Nice!
Seems like there is a lot of silver deposited down there. Why do you think that is? Whats the demographic of the area?

Or it could be your just a very experienced hunter, its amazing how much of this is just knowing where to look and what to ask for.

Hey LJ,

Nice job on the dimes. I too am having fun with dimes but I think my branch is getting annoyed with me BC there is only about five wells Fargo banks within driving distance in Monterey county and I have been plundering all there boxes of dimes. I only find one or two per box but it is a thrill to get a merc. I think Tex Tim suggested a good tip on here " Make a small cut with a razor-blade, remove the silver dime, replace it with a clad one, and scotch tape the slit." It really makes searching dimes hassle free. good luck this year their seems to be much more competition and new faces :).

LJ,

Good going! I'm glad you're back. I've missed your inspirational posts.

Have you thought of looking to large dollars? Seems like there might be a lot of 40% Ikes turned in down there.

Brian

Awesome!

...as usual! ;)

Why don't you spread out the pain/joy and get boxes from other banks?

Even if you don't have an account, the worst they can do is say no.
