didn't get anything to exciting but i went though 2000 pennies from the bank and i got 592 coppers 3 weats that are dated 1923 1928 and 1944 D. I got 3 canadian pennies too. I have filled my 1959-1998 penny book up with every date except 1959, 1960, 1962, 1968 S, 1969 S, 1972 S, 1974 D, 1974 S. I also filled my 1999-2008 book. That being said after I fill this other book should i move onto nickels or should I get the 1909-1940 one which will be harder to fill?

I also have the following silver coins:

Half's

1913
1964
1965 x2
1966 X2
1967 x6
1968
1969

Dimes

1905
1912
1913
1939 x2
1935

quarters
1945

I love coin roll hunting and collecting coins!!!!

yea I did but I bought them the halfs but yea only 3 weat pennies my uncles giving me a 1943 steel penny and my first indian head in the mail soon:)

the 1909 to 1940 would probably be tougher than the nickels. that was my first book and after about $1,000 in cents, i've only filled about 8 spots.

nice job... for further reference, you might have a hard time finding the 74-s penny, it took me 2 years to find one, though it is not a rare date, and I am so far from san fran, maybe that's why.

p.s. was the 1913 half dollar from coin roll hunting or a personal collection?

The good thing (or bad, depending on how much of a "challenge" you're wanting) is that the 1909-1940 cent book will likely last you the rest of your life, and you likely can't complete it from CRH alone.

I'd get the 1909-1940 but also the nickel books. The penny book will take some time to fill. As for the 1974S. That is a harder one to find. I found my first one pretty quick but after filling 2 more complete sets of penny books for my boys the 74S was a hard one to get. Took me 10-15 boxes to just find one then after that in the next box I found 5. So I now keep those when I come across them. Once I have a tube full I'll just throw them in my copper pile with the rest. HH

Also. When I started my second nickel book set I filled the 1938-2011 in just 2 boxes of nickels searched. I must have stumbled on someone's collection dump

Same for me. I got lucky by finding a 1912 on a desk at school.

That's awkward. My first ever S minted coin was a 74-S from change. That is the most plentiful one around here. I just finished my 1941-1974 book.
