First coin

I am new to metal detecting. About three hours into using my new Fisher F 22 I scored a 1905 Indian head cent in my yard about three inches deep.

I have a 2015 Indian Vintage Chief motorcycle so maybe I was supposed to find an Indian Cent as my first coin.

Congrats, that's so cool for your 1st coin to be an IHC. It took me 3 months for me to dig my 1st IHC and then another year before the 2nd one popped out of a plug. I believe you can remove the remaining green crust using tooth picks and a magnifying glass. Most all of mine have a nice green patina when dug.
