I did some recon in the New Jersey Pine Barrens yesterday. I came across an interesting work site that had a bunch or buttons (mostly Tombacs) a Spanish real, a key, and what looks like pewter canteen parts as well as a few other trinkets. There should be another coin or two in there some where!!

Another one of those Barrel Tap Keys, they should did enjoy their outdoor drinking in those days.
 

That 1/2 real looks like it got ran over by fifty wagons! Glad to see some stuff coming out of the barrens

So I guess that I missed the keg party a couple of hundred years ago... The keeper of the keg tap key controls who and how much ETOH was distributed. Late to the party again!!!
