I just got my ctx 3030 earlier this week and have been waiting all week to test it out. I finally get to my of days and decide to take her out for a swing. I went to 2 schools that I've searched before with my at pro and was only able to find some clad and that junk watch. Then I decided to leave and go home when I was going by a middle school that I've never detected before (and by the sounds of it, nobody else has neither). I made my way to the bleachers next to a baseball field and that's when I got the sweet sound. I thought it was just a silver ring to begin with. I was quite happy with that. Then when I got finished swinging, u went back to the truck to unload my finds. That's when I wiped down the inside of the ring to make sure it said 925 or sterling, etc , and I had to take a double take because I seen something that look like it said 14k. I took my toothbrush and some spit and that confirmed it. My first silver and gold find in one on my brand new ctx 3030. Plus that's my first ever gold find with a metal detector. I never found one with my at pro. I found a million nickels and pull tabs but never any gold. I hope I can keep the luck going my way with the gold. HH everyone and thanks for looking.
