First GW inaugeral button

[hishergarrett]

My wife found this today at a hill top where we have found numerous flat buttons and other relics.Does anyone know how rare this design is?I can't find a website with this one on it.

[Iron Patch]

Great find, and even better it's not one we usually see dug.

It's #10 on that page. The author is an avid collector and a real nice guy. Email him and he can help you with any questions.
That's a banner button. Great condition.

Congrats

Im waiting to see some more info get posted but to me anything related to GW with any kind of rarity to it would be worth a Banner

[smokeythecat]

It is uncommon. The "turkey eagles" and "GW"'s are much more common. Great find.

Fantastic find, condition is amazing. That's my favorite design.

Awesome button. Was this dug in SC? You don't see many GW buttons dug that far south. Gives me hope of finding one in NC.

It was dug in South Carolina.I could hardly believe it when she started reading the words to me across the woods.Keep searching, there's probably one out there with your name on it.
