Found these today after a short hunt. My new Tejon proved it's worth and located my first barber dime, 1903.

Looks like the dime has about extremely fine detail. Nice! Was this found at a private yard or maybe a park?

Found them in an industrial park where a farm once was.

very nice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ya baby.... 8) 8) 8) ;D ;D ;D

Hi Gribnitz
Congrats on your nice finds. I always enjoy looking at what other TH'ers are findng and appreciate good pictures especially when additional details are provided as to what the items are (if the auther knows). I just purchased the book 'Civil War Artifacts A Guide for the Hisrorian' by Howard R. Crouch. If there was ever a book that will make you drool this is the book that will do it. I was trying to find the rivet looking item in this book but was not able to find it. I will do a more in depth search as I have just found one yesterday that is very similar looking.
Congrats again.:-) I have attached a picture of my best find ever. It took me 26 years to find this one, but I am still looking for additional ones to go with it. Good Luck in all you do, have fun, enjoy, and stay safe.

Congrats on the New Tejon and finds!

If I couldn't have a Nautilus IIB I'd buy a Tejon. Tesoro makes GREAT machines and you'll make lots of super finds with it.

Best,

Badger

The rivet is a general purpose copper leather rivet. They were used in both civilian and in the military. If you find em where your finding civil war relics, you can assume they are military in nature. They used them on just about everything back then. I find these pretty much all over the place, but more so where I am finding minie balls.

BTW, very nice coin. Wish I were so lucky :)

Nice barber find I guess, if you like that sort of thing. ;D
And I sure do!! Excellent find!!! WTG!! HH

Prepair to do a lot of digging! :)
