Detector(s) used
Tesoro Silver uMax
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
Went out to some undetected property with my new (to me) Tesoro Silver uMax. It was a good site to try and learn how this detector operates. I had plenty of hits. My favorite find from this site was the 1964 County dog license tag. After searching around the house, tried the woods out back. Didnt hit on much there. The next place was the site of a local Revolutionary War battle, didnt get many hits here and the rain was moving in along with darkness. All in all it was a fun afternoon.

Good job man, that dog license is in good condition for its age

You are off to a good start.

How did you like the Silver uMax? I'm still looking to get my first detector and, so far, that may be the one I get too.

Congratulation! Good start

Ghost I really like it so far. Its simple to operate with a discriminate and sensitivity knob, or you can flip the switch to all metal. I'm glad I went with this over a detector with a screen so you can learn to "listen" to what the detectors telling you.

Looks like you had fun time with your new Tesoro machine keep up the good work!

Nice find!! I found a dog tag the other day from 1942. Reads..: "Buck County, Pa. 5619 1942"

WW2 tie clip next to it. You can kinda' read the dog tag...:
