Been itching to sneak out with my son's F2 and finally got it out yesterday. Took it to a new park and made some interesting finds. Place must get cherry picked cause the only coins I found were pennies and nickels. Found a cool brass? whistle if anyone has any info about would be nice, also found the first fishing lure and the 14K gold ring. Love the F2 great machine, light, fast response time, loves the nickels/tabs and locks onto them for life. Deep seeker too, ground was pretty damp and dug a few beaver tails at a measured 8 and 9 inches. Thanks for looking.

very nice finds

Nice finds Glenn. Hopefully your son isn't too sore at you >:( But at least he knows it definitely will find gold.

Those pull tabs are awesome....Congrats on the ring. Nothing brings a smile quicker the gold. Happy Hunting.

Digging tabs can be good. . . especially when you find gold. Nice find!

Yahoo! Glad to see someone else using the F2 and having good results. Nice little machine and I'm happy because it's light weight. Cynangyl,Mike and I went out on Sat. to a tot lot, I found 4 pennies, fishing weight and a ball that everyone I have showed it to thinks it is a .45 caliber musket ball. Congrats, and keep up the good work.

Thanks for looking and all the nice replies.

Congrats on the gold Glenn! Your son going on the TriState Hunt or are you going to be using his machine? :)

I just don't have the patience to dig pulltabs at public parks. They are just loaded :) (one reason I don't find any gold there...) At the beach however, in the wet sand / shallow surf, it's another story ;) Can't wait for the hot weather! Lookin' for lot's of gold this summer!

Hey thanks Joe,
Yes my son will be there but like his Father he is easily distracted so I may get to use it :icon_biggrin:
We definitely need to talk about the beach, I've had a pretty good run since Jan. but looking for more too.
HH and GL,
Glenn
