First find of 2018

Took a ride after work to a spot I had good luck at this past year it’s on the Bohemia River so I have had to wait for all the ice to thaw before I could look. Still a ton of ice chunks but I managed to find this piece. Looks like it was gonna be a knife but for whatever reason the one ear was isn’t finished. I’m not sure of the material I’ve never found anything similar before but it’s really pretty has some a unique shade of pink running thru it.

Posted a lot of pics to try and show the color and flaking ,shows well in hand but hard to get pics of. It was nice to get out can’t wait for warmer weather.

Most of them are one side .... the prettier side lol but pic #4 is other side I will post a pic of the unfinished ear which shows the outer shell of original material I meant to include originally

That is some pretty material and does look like something started but not finished for whatever reason, cool find.

Preform probably in hand would be a better view Im sure. Maybe you will find something finished out of that type of rock. I find a lot of preforms and rocks that have had a little work done and then tossed. Lots of inclusions in the flint here, good luck.
