Due to snow and frozen ground here, I decided to head south for a little nugget shooting. I went down to the Bradshaw Mountains and went to a spot where I had found some decent nuggets several years ago with a Gold Bug. The area has received a ton of rain recently, so I had some glimmer of hope of finding some gold. 2-1/2 hours into the hunt after digging the usual bits of rusted wire and pieces of lead shot, I finally scored! I used the stock 11" coil in Gold 1 with all stock settings, tracking ground balance on. 4" of gravel to the bedrock, I got a nice signal and here she is. It made the two hour drive completely worthwhile.
