Due to snow and frozen ground here, I decided to head south for a little nugget shooting. I went down to the Bradshaw Mountains and went to a spot where I had found some decent nuggets several years ago with a Gold Bug. The area has received a ton of rain recently, so I had some glimmer of hope of finding some gold. 2-1/2 hours into the hunt after digging the usual bits of rusted wire and pieces of lead shot, I finally scored! I used the stock 11" coil in Gold 1 with all stock settings, tracking ground balance on. 4" of gravel to the bedrock, I got a nice signal and here she is. It made the two hour drive completely worthwhile.

Nice gold. Congratulations

Nice! What does she weigh and what did it read on the Nox?

Thanks, it weighs 13.7 grains on my RCBS powder scale. VDI was bouncing between 3 and 4.

Almost 9/10ths of a gram. That is good size! Find more!

There's more there for sure, really have to work for it though. Gonna bring a rake next time.
