Well it looks like for now the rain has stopped here in Northern California :hello2: . So out I went for a hunt at a local school . A few coins here and there and a plated junk ring found. About one hour in I had a +35 at 3 inches . I pulled back the plug and saw sweet GOLD :headbang:. It is a nice little pendent that looks like a snow flake . Next I thought I had gold number two but it turned out to be a junk chain :BangHead: . When I got home I tested the pendent and it pasted 22k no problem ! I believe it is 24k due to the fact that it is very bendable like 24k would be . I don't have acid to test for 24K . It weighs 2.79 grams , heavy for it's size :thumbsup:. Total clad was $3.70 .

Awesome gold find man!! It looks pure! Congrats!

Awesome job. Wish i found as much gold and silver jewelry here on the east coast as you do on the west..

Congrats on a piece of gold

the pendant looks old to me
glad you can find one thing good :censored:

Very nice, GOLD! I would think with a loop you could find a mark probably on the ring where the chain would pass through?

Nice Job!!! by the title I thought this was going to be a gold nugget find, don't see much 24k jewelry!!! Congrats

Awesome find for sure Glen.

Man you don't fool around, right to the 24K:headbang: Congrats on the 1st gold of the season.

pl8man, Ahh you give me a new hope on school grounds, that I sometimes go to for lack of any place else, because you just proved that "Ya never know". One thing I bought awhile ago was a electronic gold testing device from an company called "GemOro". No scratch test or acid, and will test from say 9k up to 24k & platinum. A little spendy but a one time investment, glad I have it. What a nice find, back to school I guess.

A "little sunshine" in the morning always makes for a great hunt, congratulations on the nice find! :occasion14:

Nice piece of gold. A lot of 22k gold comes from Asia.

Nice! I've been following your adventures for a while now. Seem's like you a prefer hunting schools. Is there a reason or two you could share as to why schools over say parks? Most of the schools in my area are fenced in.

The first thing I did was check for a mark . Nothing on it .

The parks around here are hunted out by the local detecting club . I have had so much luck at schools I just keep hunting them .
