First gold ring , first spent cartridge

Hello everybody, SE MI here.

21/2 hour hunt turned up two rings, some clad and a spent cartridge.

The ring on the left is a harley davidson 10 k ring. The other has no markings. Must
say I got a bit of gold fever, those nickle pull tab tones started to sound good. Would have
hunted till dark (about another hour an a half) but got a little rain and some extremely
loud thunder. Began to wonder if maybe a metal detector might draw lightning. Was a
nice hunt.

you have to dig even the trash signals to find everything..... nice stuff....and there are quite a few michiganders that think there isnt anything good around here

I just started detecting on July the 12th and have a lot to learn, I think I cherry pick too much. Gold and silver is always a nice find, the older the better of course, but I think there is a world of good stuff under Michigan soil.

do you a bunch of good spots lined up band?? if not send me your exact location and ill see if i can dig you up a few spots close to you.
I have been doing quite a bit of research in michigan and have been pretty "dead on" finding good places to hunt.
