First gold rush era relics

Was super excited got to go out into some gold rush era areas and did some detecting. Didn't find too much but I was happy to get to come home with some of that history. The piece I was most excited about was this piece for hair. Not sure if it's Chinese or American. But super happy to have it. Only seen them in museums.

Great finds, I sure find a lot of axes around the gold rush here in Colorado but yours looks much older!
