Finally found the time to explore a ghost town at least a mile from the nearest road. There was a grist mill and a half dozen homes all gone after the 1930s. I was able to ride my enduro down some atv trails all the way to this virgin site. Signals everywhere lots of copper scrap from gutters or flashing but I pulled a couple keepers in an hour and a half. An old postal button circa 1880 backmark and a National Guard of PA medal date unknown looks like WWI but it is not the WWI that I looked up I cant find a math for it. I thought it was a colonial copper when I first dug it but a CC will have to remain on my wish list a bit longer.

Cool Finds... Never seen one of those buttons before. Congrats!

Nice hunting should be interesting to see what else is at the old place.

Thanks , I can't wait to go back it is a beautiful and quiet spot plus A virgin detecting site.

Might be a commemorative medallion of the PA National Guard regiments that fought in the Spanish-American War. THere were 12 PA National Guard regiments that fought in the war 1898

very cool finds!
