After a hiatus from detecting, a friend secured a nice permission for both of us to hunt. This is just what I needed to draw me back into the hobby. My buddy broke his detector so I ended up loaning him my Equinox 800 for the day while I swung the CTX 3030. I have ran the Equinox ever since it has came out and have not returned to the CTX until now. I remember why I like the 3030 so much; great TID's and fewer trash targets dug. Do any of you guys that own both detectors return to the CTX? Anyways, back to the finds for the day which were a war nickel, a great seal button as well as a Civil War general issue button, my first. I ended up dropping my friend off and decided I had not completely scratched my itch so I decided to detect a local park. The park nowadays has many homeless people living in it and while detecting I got to see plenty of people coming and going buying and selling goods if you know what I mean. While detecting I even had some tough guy yelling out of his friend's window as he drove by to "Stop looking at him and that he would knock the meat out of somebody's taco." I am not sure if he was talking to me or one of the other people in the park. I got a pretty good laugh at him. Shortly after that I scored the silver ring and decided I had my fun for the day. Off I went with my interest reinvigorated in the hobby.
