First hunt for 2009 found Gold and Silver

I got to the Beach Wednesday 2/25 for my first hunt in 2009
I lasted about 3 hours did a lot of digging.

I managed to scoop up:

54 Lincoln Memorial Cents
5 Lincoln Wheat Cents (1928, 1929D, 1934, 1951D, 1958D)
23 Jefferson Nickels
1 Buffalo Nickels (No Date)
32 Clad Roosevelt Dimes
1 Silver Roosevelt Dimes (1956)
41 Clad Washington Quarters
1 Clad Kennedy Halves
1 Sac Dollar

Total $ 23.07 Face Value

1 10 K Gold Pendent (1.4 Grams)
1 10 k Gold Nugget ring (4.9 Grams)
1 Silver Ring (4.2 Grams)

1 Costume Chain and Pendant

Misc. Stuff

Fun Factory token, Angel token, iPhone still works, Mini Space Shuttle, 2 Hot Wheels, Master Lock, Dolphin, Toy Soldier, lighter, Turtle, Chain with 4 Keys, Loads of trash left in trash cans at the beach.

Got hold of owner of iPhone and returning today via USPS.

That is alot of digging in 3 hours, I can spend all day at the beach & I'm lucky I can scrape a buck in change out of the sand!

How deep was the iPhone? LOL.

It was at about 2 inches near the edge of a sand drift at a access path.

The Silver ring and a lot of the coins were at the surface after the winds had swept the beach so I hit the area hard, there weren't any signs that the area had been hunted, at least since the rains and wind took off a lot of the sand down to a lower level, my finds had been in the sand for a long time as you can tell by the color of the coins, no fresh drops.
