After many days of cold and quagmire here in Dayton, I was happy to head to Rockcastle county Kentucky where the temps were in the 50's and 60's and the ground was perfect. I scanned an area that was used by the L&N railway workers a 100 years ago or more to rest and retreat from the summer heat. I came back with an 1891 seated dime, a 1918 merc and some wheats and clads. Great weather and great scenery, a good time for sure.

Very nice finds!
With those dates on your silver, the best might be yet to come. . . good luck!

Welcome back to burrrrrr cold! (xenia here)
Sounds like you had a great time. Would it break your heart to hear we were at 60 and didn't get rain until late last night ? :)

Too cold here for me, too. 25 miles north of Dayton. Good Digs.

that's some nice huting you did...especially that old silver!

Glad you got out...Great scores with the seated dime and merc...Congrats

Nice job. I haven't found that many seated dimes. Is is a very good hunt when one of those babies comes up. ;D ;D

Any way you can make that picture a little bigger?

Thanks for the feedback everyone, the seated dime was under a rock shelter for 100 years or more I suppose and has a black coating that wants to stay >:(

Sweet digs!
Congrats...
