First hunt of 2019...Yields buttons and a Coyote

I met up with a couple of fellow T-netters for the first hunt of 2019. Well, it didn't start off the best way a hunt could, but, it did end rather well. On the way to the site I managed to nail a full grown coyote in my car traveling at 68 mph. He was able to take the front end out before going to coyote heaven

I had a mighty hard time concentrating on hunting knowing I had a 90 mile drive back home with a front end with loose parts. I was able to put in the back of my mind for most of the day and was focused on finding some lost items. We hunted a WW1-WW2 camp/dump and we were rewarded with buttons galore. The site turned up a variety of finds dating the camp.

As you can see there were ample amounts of targets to be had. As far as coins go, I did pull my first merc of the year from there, a 1920 and beside the relics, Dan found a 1920 walker and Jimmy found a sterling silver medallion.

On the way home I stopped off at Wally world and grabbed some tape and bungy's and was able to jerry rig the front end well enough to get back home

Thanks Jimmy, it was a good day in spite of the way it started. Congrats on your silver. I did see 3 dead ones on the way home, must be open season

I just got back from driving 1400 miles round trip into the Texas hill country and saw 1 deer, nail a coyote 1st day back in NM, go figure lol
