I hurt my back a week ago so I’ve been down and out. Finally felt up to getting out. I hit two spots but was getting skunked. Being my first hunt of the year I couldn’t let that happen so I drove to a curb strip where I’ve found a few wheat pennies and clad at. I’ve used my large coil at this location but not the 6” coil. I decided to be very slow and methodical. Found a couple quarters and a couple pennies. It was getting dark so I turned back and kept going slow back to the car. Swinging low and slow I pick up that sweet high tone and get a solid 27/28 in multiple directions. I know that sound and that VDI, a silver dime! Bend down and pop a few inches of dirt out and see the shiny One Dime! Now my hearts racing, is it a Seated or a Barber? Pick it up and spit on it to reveal a nice 1911 Barber! 2167F11D-64AD-4E32-840F-D5FA54DD3DCA.webp572AAC88-94CE-40AC-AF7C-9079B980B499.webp

Very nice!:icon_thumleft: wish I could be out there hunting.

Good work on the 1911-S! I don't get Barbers too often so I'm always thrilled when I do.

I love those elusive coins. Good job hope that helps your back recover my friend. Tommy

That is a beauty. Congratulations! Some of my best finds are on a desperate swinging path back to the car.

Nice looking dime, congrats! :occasion14:
