First hunt with new Fisher F2 - "STERLING" !!!
hello everybody. i've been out of pocket for a while; but i did manage to buy a new fisher f2 last week. my two boys, 4 & 8 and i took it out for the first time this afternoon to a church a block down from our house. i turned it on, moved the coil about five feet and bingo, i got a signal that read as a silver dime at 4" deep. i dug a plug and saw the unmistakable glint of silver in the hole. it was a large, heavy earring with the word "sterling" on the inside ! that thing weighs more than a quarter !!! after that, i found two quarters, one dime, several memorial cents and a few odds and ends. my 8 year old found a 1928 wheat with his tesoro. i have always been a tesoro person, but i felt like it was time to branch out and try something new. i sold my trusty old tesoro silver sabre II after 16 years of wonderful service. the fisher f2 is totally different in so many ways, but i'll get used to it over time. have a great week ! - P.S. - SORRY ABOUT THE CRUMMY PICTURES.
