Cold day, I spent about an hour and a half trying out the Deus with the waterproof kit. I ordered a new Minelab Excalibur II because I decided I was for sure going to spend allot of time in the water hunting. It worked good still have to work out a few bugs, now I'll have three water machines! lol
Enjoy the pix

That's pretty cool brad!, skinds like you've got quite the arsenal!

so how did it do? i have the waterproof kit but havent used it yet. or wasnt it any good and thats why you ordered the ExCal?

Thats a nice hunt Brad

A little bit scary, ain't it? Having such expensive equip in the water. ;)

Nice job!

I ordered the Minelab before I went, I just was fooling around, just so happened that I was waiting to hear if Deus would cover my warranty if the bag leaked from the waterproof kit. I still have to check it out in salt water and I still have to adjust a few wires in order to make things comfortable. It was cold, so I had a wet suit on, which made me more buoyant than I already am. In turn a area where I have found allot of finds is up to my chin, where I was floating, it made it hard to dig with my scoop. I will hunt with the Deus because I can tweek the programs and hunt the hot spots over and over and over and over. Then when I get the Minelab I can clean it out again!

Thank you, I had to wait to make sure Deus will stand behind that waterproof kit, yes it is a little scary, but from what I hear they are as good if not better than Garrett with standing behind there stuff. Minelab is the one's who scare me in that respect.

Thanks, I was working your program.
Ha you must of been on your phone!

I'm working on that golf bag WIF/Gary was talking about.

Ok, so you're going to have one for each hand and one for...? Well at least you'll never have to worry about backups lol.

Three water detectors and only one you! Not goods odds.
Nice finds!

I would be apprehensive about putting electronic anything in the water!

I have been taking new people allot (land hunts) now I'll be able to take people water hunting.

Thanks, I look forward to some great finds. I have already been through my AT Pro going down because of myself and in the water. I just have to know how good my warranties are, I'm not scared, the Minelab Excalibur II is rated for 200 ft under the water (there should not be any issues) The Deus eventually won't see too much water. The AT Pro will back up the Minelab, it has done me great, I have allot of gratitude for it.

O Boy there goes the Gold in Jersey!!

Thanks Joe, I went to that other spot Thursday. I ended up there at low tide, perfect except I ended up in mud up to my knees. The further out I tried to go the deeper I went. Actually it was clay

There's a sneaky way that electronics can go up when wrapped in plastic and held under the water besides the possibly leak.
It's the difference in temperatures. Inside that bag, the electronics still heat up and surrounded by cold water, condensation builds up on the
inside of the bag. Then, guess what? ;)

Just something else to worry about. LOL

Treb there's so many amazing finds in the water and way less competition. My buddy had an Excal and does well in the drink. If you could get to see of these super old ocean sites in Maryland and Jersey you may clean up on the really early stuff. Good luck buddy. You deserve when you go in the water to find em

Hey, congrats on the silver chain Brad! :occasion14:

I can see you finding gold in the near future with the Deus!

Next week will warm up good, I'll be using some gold programs with the deus. I believe I'll find gold with it too.

For me water is the only option thought I had to give up the hobby after back fusion legs don't work to good. And after half hour on land and I was on couch for days in pain. But!!! Water is my only way out. Just have to wait another month to it warms up here in northern mich

That is another reason I like it so much, digging in the dirt ends up digging in the mud for me. I sweat so much in the summer I end up with mud from head to toe!
