Went to a field sunday to try to find a indian head penny I found a 1895 button and a couple early wheaties there this spring but I kept telling my wife there was a indian waitin for me there. It was only in the eghties but I had a fever of a 101 so I didnt have much energy the corn was like 7 feet tall and was full of briars up to my knees but an half hour into it and almost giving up I got an aluminum signal wich I always dig now sence the buttons in my mothers yard come up as aluminum. It was only about 3 inchs deep and I was glad. It was an 1886 Indian head penny I couldnt belive it I was just as happy to find it as my 1808 half cent just because all my friends find them all the time and had never got one, another first this year.

That's GREAT, Collector!
Good for you!

It's why I really like all the success stories here on Tnet, I guess.
I've never found one...

Maybe tomorrow.

Best,
rmptr

A big congratz on your first IH ... I have found a few over the years and its still a thrill to dig one ... hope this is the first of many for you ~ Jimmy

Great find
Finding an IH is a detecting milestone. I think
Hopefully I'll find my first before too long

First one I found was an 1907, about ten years ago. I could still show you the exact spot that I found it at. Yet I can't recall what I ate two days ago. Rub it on your forehead, guaranteed to make you find more. Congrats,

Congrats! That Indian looks like it's in really good shape for its age.

Continued HH!
