First Infinium Hunt Hits Platinum

Took my Garrett Infinium out for a couple of hours Monday. Had limited time so I dug only High/Low tones which indicates low conductivity, (Possible Gold). Found my share of bobby pins, sinkers, pull tabs but hit this nice ring after stopping one more place right at dark. Infinium was deep and sensitive and being a beginner in the water, I learned a few things quick.

1. Digging a hole while standing in chest deep water is not a good thing!

2. Water hunting is work!

3. There are things in the water much bigger than you! (Had a Manatee hunt with me for about 5 minutes) That was really a treat. First time I had seen one and he was within 10 yards of me for a while.

4. People will want to know what that was you just put in your pouch!

The ring is Platinum. 950!

hah - i also find it very hard working that deep! my 7mm wetsuit keeps me pretty buoyant and scooping is quite a job.
