First metal detector

Didn't go expensive but hopefully it helps me the strategies of detecting. Bought a PANCKY PK0075.Reviews sounded good to me. The price was ok. Bought supporting accessories. Want to get right to the treasure while learning. Where can I go. By the way. Glad to be here.

Personally I never heard of the PANCKY detector before.
Best of luck will the new machine and make sure you post up some finds.
Now it's 20x cheaper than some of my detectors-but I will say this right now that doesn't mean I can or will find 20x more either.

You asked a question, "Where can I go". That depends on several factors. What you want to detect for and where you live or plan on detecting. I could list a hundred places to detect. Beaches, Civil War sites, old home places, parks, old school yards, and on and on. YOU have to decide what you want to dig for and again, what is available where you live. And here is one thing you need to know IF you want to be truly successful. Depending on what you are going to hunt, there is much time required doing research to be successful. I would estimate I have spent at least 90% of my time doing research vs. actually boots on the ground detecting. But that is for Civil War items. Much less time can be spent I suppose on other types of detecting. But research is a reward in itself.

There are several Florida folks on here that may be a help. They usually sleep in to around noon before they get up and have their first margarita or pina colada, so they will be around shortly.
