First Okinawa Gold!

I'm pretty sure this will be my first Gold ring here on Okinawa. I dug a nice little 1.0 Gram Hart shaped ring this afternoon. Problem is, it does not have a stamp, but it looks good. I have ordered a Gold testing kit off Amazon, so I won't know for a few weeks. Never the less, I'm happy with it! I also dug 996 Yen, about $10, so a very productive hour of hunting.

Congrats on the gold, awesome. Wish I was MDing when I was in the Corps. Been to Oki about six times and now think of the different beaches I could've if I had've. Best of luck to you.

I found my first ever find metal detecting in 1976 in Kadena Circle with a bfo detector. It was a class ring. Was there from 74 to 77. Used to look for where they cleared out areas of jungle and go I n and look for artifacts. Also used to find neat stuff on the beach after typhoons. Found a glass net float about 12 inches in diameter once.

Cahil I would love to find a glass net float. They are really hard to come by nowadays! Artifact hunting looks fun!
