Nice digs~

HH

Good start, hi from the UK

Happy New Hunting Year.

Keep you eyes to the ground :)

Good work with the detector and the camera. The large pix are great.

40% quarter? Hmmmm.

i think it's 40%, along with the dime. im kinda new to the whole numismatism stuff- but i assumed all dimes, quarters, halves, and cartwheels were 40% silver from 65-69. Also, with the pictures, i managed to keep the actual size large and the file size small with minimal loss in details. i hope its anot annoying at that size.

Now that you're going to be finding lots of coins, better buy yourself a copy of the "Whitman's Red Book," it's pretty much the general go-to book for info about coins, but the prices in it are retail prices and not what a buyer would necessarily pay you for your coins. Anyhow, you'll see that the 40% silver coins (and there is some debate about the actual percentage of silver in them) pertains to the half dollars from 1965 to 1970. The other coins minted for general circulation are strickly clad after 1964.

Happy Hunting and Happy New Year.

Nice haul there Deadringer but i'm getting off here before one of those coins fall on me!
