First Real Find of the Year!

Spent a week boondocking the Desert of Arizona and came across this Beautiful 1926 Silver Peace Dollar in a Wash near some old wooden Corral remains.

My Heart did skip a beat when I saw it in the sandy soil! I almost couldn't pick it up...it didn't look real for a second. I was hiking an old mine area on the side of a small mountain when I came across the gold claim corner posts.I walked down and off the claim and got my detector from my jeep and continued down a wash about a 1/4 mile when I found what looked like an old corral. That's the area where I found The Silver dollar.

Nice find...

Locate an arena used for rodeo events and you'd be suprised what you'll find.

Also work the stock trailer and tie-up areas.

County and State fairgrounds arenas...(there are private arenas as well)...

Don't overlook the FFA & 4H stock barns and pens...

I've found that equestrian horse camps (organized long distance trail rides) are hot especially where the tent camper setup...also look around where the main campfire and bar is located...lotta drunks with cash and jewelry...
