- Relic Hunting
I was off work today since I have to work Saturday so I had a very short time to hunt before I had to be back home to work on my honey-do list. I have been doing a lot of relic hunting lately but knew I did not have time today to do that so I thought I would hunt some local parks and tot lots. I left home at 10am and could only hunt until noon. I arrived at a park around 10:15 and started to work the tot lot. I found a few coins a some odds and ends. Then kids and mothers were showing up. I was working my way back to my truck when I got a good signal around the baby swing area. I wiped away the wood chips with my hand and saw a beautiful gold ring shining in the sun. Well that drew a crowd. Knowing I did not have much time left I went back to an old football field that has produced tons of coins. Right away I was getting the usual quarters and dimes. One was a nice spill of several coins. Not a bad day for less than two hours and getting my first ring of the year. There are no marking on the ring so I don't know if real or not but it's a ring either way.
