I inspect houses for a living. Today under a vacant house I found this ring. It looks like a toe ring my wife would wear only for a much larger toe. LOL. It's marked 926 and what appears to be a MEN Co or NEN Co. I figured it was silver or white gold so I stopped buy one of the we buy gold stores just to see what they say. They said its silver and it weighed 1.6 penny weight??? Whatever the hell that means. They offered me .42 cents........ When I said no they came back with .50 cents......... This ring weighs at least 2g probably 3g. It's not going to be worth much but I'm not trading silver for .42 cents in clad??? F that.

yea really, with a capital F. great find. hope you find many more

Would the clad of at least have been shiny and new?

stering silver is worth about $1 a gram now....but they do have to make a profit on it. Should have at least offered you a buck.:laughing7: :dontknow:

You can easily get Spot silver + or - 5% on eBay any day of the week. I save silver for that purpose. Wait until you have a bunch, and sell it for scrap. I haven't been able to any silver due to two factors, 1, I like my silver, 2. I can't sell if for what it's worth to me. Once I have a $100.00 or more worth, and if I need the money, I'll sell it. Gold on the other hand, I'd sell in a heartbeat.

Lol, I know they have to make a profit but that was soo funny when she said .42 cents. I just weighed the ring it's 2.5 g. So they were going to more than quadruple there profit? Lol, scum bags.....
