First Ruby of 2014

Just found my first Ruby of 2014 today along with a little bonus gold, keeps the enthusiasm going for the hunt. Sorry but I'm no good at taking or posting pictures. The ruby was about 8 carats. Haven't had much time to prospect so far.

My friend took a picture of both rubies today and the monday one was 6.5 carats and weighed 1.3 grams, the one on tuesday was 30 carats and weighed 6 grams. They each have a green matrix or coating which is normal for my location so will not show up real red til some cleaning is done. Will try to see if we can get a picture posted later.
