First Silver & a BONUS !!!!!
I knew it was gonna happen sooner or later...but I figured for me it would be later than sooner. I found an old park west of town by the military base. Thank goodness I took the turn at the light instead of going the way I usually go or I would have never found this park. Spent about 20 minutes as the park is very small as parks go. I do remember this place though from my high school days.. Kids would go here and park because the bluff overlooks the lake next to the military base. I focused around several large trees and at the base of the second tree was where I got my signals and boy were they booming !!!! Didn't have to dig but maybe 3 inches and found all four of these lovelys all grouped together. I worked around the other side of the tree and found my Bonus .....a strange token.. Got home and soaked them in soap and hand washed off the dirt and suprisingly enough they cleaned up pretty well. Probably the best 30 minute hunt ever for me. I've been very fortunate in some of my better finds in the last few years, a gold nugget from California, a gold and diamond engagement ring and now my first silver. What else can a guy ask for.
