I know we're 3 months into 2016 but I have not dug nearly as much as I would have liked so far this year. Today my first silver of the year came up as quite the surprise was getting a pretty solid mid tone pop the plug and see the rim of a nickel 1964 Jefferson put the pin pointer back in the hole it's going off out comes the 1940 Jefferson. Cover the hole swing over it bingo 88-91. Uncover the hole plunge the pin pointer in and recover a 55 wheat followed by a 49 wheat. I start thinking that's why the signal was so hi 2 wheats. Cover the hole again swing over it solid 88! Open the plug back up check the hole to find nothing check the plug and wipe some dirt to see that beautiful sight!

A 1951 Washington!! I love seeing a coins imprint in the dirt, I can't believe I didn't hear the quarter first though. I dug the signal thinking possible pull tab end up pulling 2 nickels 2 wheats and a silver quarter which was actually the closest to the surface!

Hope everyone's doing well! Best of luck and happy hunting!
