I've been on a few hunts lately with the Nox. I have to say, I'm very impressed! Ed and I hit a salt water shoreline that has been pounded to death by an Etrac, CTX, Deus and AT Pros. The last time I went there a month ago, I didnt walk away with much. I think I found a pistol ball and pocket watch parts. Well let me tell you, the Equinox made this site seem virgin again! I walked away with 4 coppers (one eyeballed copper), musketball, brooch and a flying eagle cent. Ed got some great finds too. Totally mindblowing that I couldn't hear those targets with my Etrac!
We hit another site today. Salt water shoreline with some good history. I got my first silver for the year, and it's a goodie. 1862 New Brunswick dime! These are hard ones to find and were only minted for 2 years, 1862 and 1864. Pretty happy with it lol. Also got another silver, but its worn smooth and very thin. We suspect its Spanish, but we will never know. I pulled half a dozen buttons as well, but all plain flat buttons. Poor Ed was as sick as a dog, but he didnt let that stop him. What a trooper!!! We might get out again tomorrow, so hopefully there will be more to post.

Nice silver. Good job.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Way to go! I dug a similar New Brunswick dime at an early house site here in Northern Virginia about twenty years ago. It was made into a love token. I would love to know how it made it from Canada to its final resting place. Nice score with the coppers!

It's a long way from home, but I have a theory. During the Rev war, numerous families moved to British North America because they refused to take up arms against the Crown. They were loyalists and Quakers. New Brunswick was one of the places they settled. There are still alot of original families here, with ties to the colonies. That's why we find state coppers here, because they brought the currency along with them when they moved. Many of the people who live here now, still have family back in the US. Maybe they made the trip to Viginia to see relatives. Either way, you gotta love a good mystery!!

That’s a nice old silver coin

Nice job on the silver, and the rest of your finds.

Nice hunt and pretty amazing dime save, congrats on all

Thanks! Only 150,000 minted, which means a good example is waiting out there somewhere!

Great hunt and congrats on the silver!
