first silver.... pilots wings???

hello everyone, this is my first silver with my MXT, i actually found it 3 years ago, it is a pin of some sort, im guessing pilots wings. is anyone familiar with modern military pins
hey at least i know its worth at least 6 bucks with silver prices these days

That is a Senior Pilot wing for the USAF.

The army version might have, but I don't remember seeing one on the AF version. Of course that was 35 years ago and things may have changed just a tad! Monty

I guess I'm thinking about the aircraft commander who is the most experienced pilot regardless of rank when the aircraft is in operation. I worked on a pilot training base and the instructors nearly all wore this type of insignia and of course were always the aircraft commander or "Command Pilot" which is AF slang I'm guessing.
