Sometimes referred to as a "Command Pilot". USAF vet., Monty

Monty, didn't the Command Pilot wings have a wreath around the star?

The army version might have, but I don't remember seeing one on the AF version. Of course that was 35 years ago and things may have changed just a tad! ;) Monty

I guess I'm thinking about the aircraft commander who is the most experienced pilot regardless of rank when the aircraft is in operation. I worked on a pilot training base and the instructors nearly all wore this type of insignia and of course were always the aircraft commander or "Command Pilot" which is AF slang I'm guessing.
