My track record with public parks has been spotty in general. This particular park i've pulled maybe a half-dozen silver dimes from one portion of the park. Today i tried the other side of the park (shout-out to Anthony for the tip), and must have been putting my coil over the right dirt. Not 5 minutes into the hunt i get a quarter signal on the etrac...4 or 5 inches down. Well at 6 inches i finally reach pay dirt, and out pops my 1st SLQ. Has a date too...1923. Unfortunately I slashed it with my Lesche.

Over the next hour or so i pulled a Merc (1920), an IHP (1902), and a Barber (1916).

Also pulled a crap-ton of clad and 16 wheats.

Congrats on some great finds. You had a great day.

Man, I don't have to sell you on the E-trac.
Congrats on some really nice silver
Keep checking those parks that you
previously hit with the PRO.

Yeah thats definately a good spot right there. That SLQ was in decent condition too. Hard to get an early one with a date. Nice work

Congrats on the slq

They are great coins to find. Don't feel bad I've slashed a few in my day as well. I love the etrac in old park's

Awesome score, 4 keepers and all the clad. Looks like a target rich park by the looks of your finds.

sweet looking silver, the SL is a beauty.

thanks all - much appreciated

Most of the parks in this area don't even give up that much clad. I am not even going to talk about the lack of silver in them. Great hunt!:icon_thumright:

Talk about a good day. Awesome job

No way that is a "pounded" New Jersey park

Congrats on your first SLQ and the rest of your great finds! IMHO, SLQ's are the nicest coin ever made. GL & continued success to you!

Awesome coin hunt, both old and new! :occasion14:

Lucky sob. Where were you? PM me if you want. I'm not going to drive out there as I have several old private permissions to keep me busy.. Just curious. Good job. Making me 2nd guess my AT...

That's a great hunt, congrats!

Outstanding job. A SLQ with a date even makes for a great day! :icon_thumright:
