This is something I've been doing for a few days now...

As someone who enjoys colonial digs, I've grown to dislike roosies very much. They didn't do anything wrong to me, I just feel that they'll be better appreciated elsewhere by other people. So I'm redistributing modern silver coinage whenever I find washingtons and roosies.

I feel better and the people that find them feel better too, and it's all in good fun!

Keep your eyes open in Essex County NJ at 7-11's!

With the price of silver going up,I sell them to a coin dealer.I almost never use money for anything. Except I did give the dealer 1800 cash for my new ctx

You're all right alright, but you ain't right, lol.

I'm leaning towards this opinion.
Only thing I can figure is you must be very wealthy. I tallied up 35 silver coins, Quarters and dimes from just what I found from one lake. Washingtons, Rosies and Barbers, It was the lowest possible value from the NGC, $155.00 bucks approx from memory.

1959 Phila mint Rosie $1.95

It adds up Steve, put it in some piggy banks for your kids! You dingbat, lol

Nope, not wealthy Brad. Just doing it for s**** and giggles. And maybe some guy who can't detect anymore and is only capable of coin roll hunting will get a few thrills;)

If it makes you happy , I can picture some kid or adult Finding silver in their change & it making their day , & you may just have started a few new coin Collectors .

I been Known to put Some Wheat Cents Back into Circulation.

Only rub I see is this. If it goes to a large grocery store, we take all our change from our registers and run them thru coinstar. And since coinstar rejects silvers, either the accounting person gets them, or who ever they have that asks for silver coins. Bring em to Va, I need to fill a few more jars with silver before I retire. ;)

Maybe some kid who is starting to collect coins will find one of your silvers.
