Went out to a farm in N. California
None of the amazing finds I see posted here, but it was fun anyway.
Because many seemed to be partials, they were hard to identify.
Most seem like tools and scrapers.
One seems to be exactly what is described here as a Turtleback scraper (sharp as hell all the way around, uniface, and with a cool thumb indent on the top).
Another seems like some really old spear point - it's sharp all around and has a crude haft but not as finely worked as pieces I've seen posted here
Still another looks like a spear point but it has a thick base.
All seem to be flint or chert.
I am posting here because I can finally contribute. Yay!
Pics don't show the sharp edges very well....
Any thoughts about the finds?
