That is a very good first hunt! I've been digging for a couple years now but I have yet to find a seated dime...

I took a while to dig up since the ground is still frozen here in Massachusetts. I'm too inpatient to wait for spring.

RtGermain,

Welcome to Tnet from Ohio. You definitely scored on your first hunt, I wish all mine turned out like yours. Good luck with your hunts. Walt

you are off to a fantastic start. Finds like that will keep you wanting more. Great job!

and welcome to the forum:thumbsup:

Welcome to the Forum !
Wow ... a Seated Dime on your first hunt - that's fantastic !
My first coin was a rotted out Zinc Penny ! :BangHead:

With EVERYTHING I have found I’ve found I seated Dime and I don’t know way, so you my friend have crushed me jj Congratulations the is a hell of a start so welcome to ADDICTION

Fan DIME tastic! Great job and thnks for sharing.

Welcome fellow Mass hunter! That is an amazing debut, and I hope you have same good luck or better going forward. For comparison about how incredible it is to find a Seated coin your very first time out, it took me 6 years to find mine. Congrats!!

On your way to catch “the fever”. Congrats on a great start!

I can see you're going to be spoiled getting that one your first outing. Congrats.

First hunt congratulations well done

Thanks everybody for the positive comments. These were found on my property which is only .75 acres. I'm still learning my ATMax and in general since I'm a complete newbie and I hope to get good enough that I can stop digging up foil. This is addicting and I can't wait to explore other properties in my area.

The a rule of Metal Detecting will be you will never not dig foil, pulltabs and bent square nails. If you do figure out how to do it please write a book it will be a bestseller,......grasshopper

Well... You set the bar awfully high for yourself! Congratulations, welcome to the hobby and the forum. You’re going to love that AT Max, it’s a solid machine.

Fantastic. I'm thinking you're hooked.

Detecting in Mass. is like hunting in a game preserve. Even for your first hunt that's not really a surprise to me. Many more good finds in your future. You're in one of the best states in the country to detect. Congrats! Gary

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!
