pretty darn good for the first time. I have yet to find a seated dime. I would be pleased with those finds. congrats!

Thanks everybody for the positive comments. These were found on my property which is only .75 acres. I'm still learning my ATMax and in general since I'm a complete newbie and I hope to get good enough that I can stop digging up foil. This is addicting and I can't wait to explore other properties in my area.

Congrats on a great first find. I have the Max as well and got lucky on one of my earliest hunts.

As Truth and others have said, the good stuff gives us the same readings as the trash sometimes so its best to dig it all.

Hello, for the first time using a metal detector, those are 2 AWESOME finds. The majority of us dig up a rusty pop tab and a clad dime. You just may be blessed by the metal detector Gods...keep on digging !
