First time out after a few months, lovely milled silver and bits

hi first time ive been out since my dad was ill then died of lung cancer at the age of 61 :sad10:, so i went to a newly permisson around a 15th century hall with 10acres of pasture land which was lovely and flat i was useing a XP Deus on program 2 at 11.8khz, all the items where deep 9/10 inchs deep, which the deus loves them
the ground was lovely and wet after the cold spell, its the first milled silver i have found which is wierd as i have many hammereds lol

Sorry to hear about your Dad Jimmy :angel7: Nice to see you getting out again, looks like you have a 17c farthing token as well, I can see the C on the reverse, is there any more letters.

the token i think is from my home town chelmsford, as it got C C M in the middle which i think its charles clarke of moulsham i think

Sorry to hear the first news. :(

On the token, it would be unusual for the C over CM not to be all initials of the issuer & wife. The C on top is the Surname, so Clarke fits, the first C is the Husbands name, so Charles fits, but the M would be the wifes name like Mary :dontknow: I have don't no book research on this one, but these are worth the effort to research :icon_thumright:

Yes, you have noticed something that is true of most UK field hunters. Hammereds far out strip Milled by about 10 to 1. :icon_thumright:
