I hear ya on the rocky beach, I had to get a heavy duty scoop just to do the sand part because if the rocks.
Kinda of envy the MD'ers that have sugar sand beaches, must be nice, instead of fighting the rocks to get your target out, and hoping it's not another bottle top! GL. HH!
