I went out with the attitude of just having fun...I had to test it on the beach, just to see, since I have had such a heck of a time on the beach... well I was the only one there...good for me right....I seriously wasn't expecting much, since I just got the detector yesterday, but said ahhh hell, do it in the preset beach/jewelry mode..which I did... I found a few coins..nothing old..but HEY, thats ok..I found em..one quarter was 8 inches deep. I was impressed, although I dont have the pinpointing downpat yet...but hey, my holes were not that big...then I got all excited... down by the water line dug n dug...and saw like a diamond.. I almost had a stroke..nooooooo diamond ring..but like a rhinestone chanel earring or coat pin... then I found a weird looking thing that I have no clue..its got one of those press here and music plays...those cheapie ones you get at craft stores..anyways, it looks like its in a rock but the bottom of the thingy is missing... so I was impressed it picked that up too.... found a metal junk stretchy bracelet too..and a pc of a smoking pipe, least thats what I think it is.... and of course I hit under the boardwalk, where they are putting the new board walk in..found big screws... just like it said on my id screen... I will post pictures in a bit..am beat...

I am very impressed with the dfx..considering I dont know alot yet about it..but I sure as heck enjoyed myself and know I have a long road of leaning on it..but thats ok..... and it was fun playing with it in the preset modes..... again pictures will be posted later..I gots to eat...pork roast smothered in pepper and garlic..taters carrots and onions and of course gravy.... mmm mm good.

Bootybay,

I love mine toooooo. The more you use it the more you too will grow to love it. Might I recommend the purchase of the Book by Jeff Foster "Digging Deeper with the DFX". It will give you special insight into the machine and how to get the most out of it. Happy Hunting with your DFX.

Great day for you Rae!
I am glad you are enjoying the new detector already.
There are a lot of dfx gurus on Tnet so you will have no problem getting any questions answered.

Dinner sounds yummy too.
