The HF Coil was a XMas pressie to myself, & today was it's first outing. I chose a place we have nearly hunted out. A Roman/Saxon Site which used to turn up tons of coins including some sceat's.
I started by going over a isolated pocket of Saxon Brooches, but after an hour, I couldn't find any more.
Then I skipped to the Roman Site, where some Sceats have shown as well. I ended up doing 5 hours 15 minutes & Cru'dad joined me for just over 2 hours.
My settings were;
74Khz
90 Ses
03 Disc
3 Reactivity
I didn't notice much of a depth but it is very sensitive & sings out well to small bits of lead & I did get a ting 0.16g bit of a Hammered!
The sounds reminded me of my old Lobo.
Tudor Button
16 Roman Coins
bit of a Iron Age Brooch
bit of a Roman Child's Ring
Tiny bit of Hammered Half-Penny of Edward III (probably)
