first time post - found error penny, but can't find any information about it.....
Hey all,
new and learning, started by going through my family's coin collection and general change. Found a 1972 D penny with errors not mentioned anywhere that I can find. First there is no "E" in E Pluribus Unum...not shaved off, doesn't look like PMD. Also, in United States of America above that, the word States seems to fade in imprint. The first S is the most dominate, and the tops of the letters are visible, but the bottoms of the letters fade away. The last S is the most invisible (other that the E in E Pluribus Unum), showing just the top arch of the "S". Is this anything? Nothing like I have seen thus far..... any thoughts? I will try to add picture.
thanks!
Steph
