First time seeing Mr. Franklin and 103 yr old penny

I am relatively new at CRH but i've been at it about 2 months, 2 boxes a week. First box yielded me 6 40%ers and then just 1 or skunk the rest of the way out, all 40%ers. Then comes my 2 boxes for this week.

1-Franklin
1-40%er

Box 2
1-1964
10-40%er

I actually yelled out loud when i saw Franklin on the front.

Also went through a box of pennies and found a 1909, no s or VDB, but still thought it was awesome i found a 103 year old coin.

Congrats. I'm relatively new myself and I remember the feeling seeing that first Ben. I just pulled a 1910 penny the other day so you've got me beat by a year. It's pretty good looking for 103!

Great find. About 6 months ago I found my first 90% half and it was a Walker. I couldn't believe it. Since then I have found some 64's and 4 Bens but no more Walkers.

Awesome job on that frankie. I remember my first. That box also had about 6 WLH in it as well.

awesome on the frank, i just got my first frank yesterday. found a bank with 200$ in non customer rolls just hanging around. gotta 40% on the first roll and my first frank on the last roll i opened...real fun since i hadn't actually seen one in person before...mine is a 1963

thats awesome! I got a bag of halves a few weeks ago, and saw a large copper coin I thought was a large english penny (which often get mixed in bc they are the same size as halves and are Cu), turns out it was a 1797 large cent. It was in god awful shape and I could barely read the date, but still this was minted during the Adams (or possibly LATE Washington) administration. I nearly $hat myself It's out there keep lookin for those treasures!
