Went through 2 boxes of pennies yesterday afternoon and got about 12 wheats total. Well it was 4pm so I figured dump them and get 2 more boxes. When I asked for boxes, I was asked if it was for a bible school thing, I said No for old coins and the tellers said you should buy the bags then, they have more old ones. So I got a bag of pennies and a bag of Nickles. Well the pennies produced 42 wheats, one was a 1917. And 20 Canadian, 1 dime and one 2 cent euro and a 1 cent panama coin. One of the Canadians was 1943.
Nickle bag produced 2 1939, a Buffalo, a 1946 Canada, 2 dimes and 63 pre 60 nickles. Also found a 63 to finish that whitman folder.
I am sold on bags now.
As I was getting the bags I also snagged the one half they had, a 67. The teller said he was gonna admit he picked and got all the 64 and before because those had silver in them.
