First time with my son!

This is my first post so it is only fitting it is about me and my little boy's first time out with an MD.
I ordered an Ace 250 the other day and have been anxious to try it out.

Well today while we were out running around, I asked my little 6 year old if he knew what a metal detector was.
He did and i asked him if he wanted to try one out.

Well we unpacked the 250 and went to his little ballpark to do some coinshooting.

After about an hour we walked out with a few pieces of trash and $.27 in clad (one quarter and two cents), but it was a great time and he had a ball, despite the miserable heat. We were taking turns between digging and sweeping....it was awesome.

Will definitely be posting more and getting out as often as i can. I have a beach vacation coming up in a couple of weeks to the florida panhandle, and i KNOW i will be taking it with us there.

Kudos Dad for getting your son involved!!! The most important thing you can teach him is to respect the landowners property and fill the holes like we weren't there. Teaching our youth early will keep the doors open for this amazing hobby.
