That's a cool find. I remember my first one better than I remember my first silver, believe it or not. Such a neat old coin.
 

Found at 1870 church and new permission beside it was an old school. It’s pretty toasted but i will take it . Date says 1902. Found some bullets , oil lamp knob and some what nots. Old razor blade but this is the highlight from earlier today.

Liberty or V nickel. Barber coinage is dime, quarter and half.

Nickels don't fair very well down in the soil. Be nice if it was a silver barber coin!

Yes. The very same Barber that the "Barber coinage" is named after. I'd say that makes a v nickel a Barber nickel.
That was my guess when I found one nickel roll hunting but V nickel seems to be the majority vote...
